Pastel Bubbles Part IV: Ethereal, magical, dreamy, and colorful digital art always captures my attention.

I used an existing pastel bubbles background creation and altered it some more, adding in a yellow-tinted hue and incorporating borders to give it the card frame treatment.

I absolutely love mixing various shades of pastels across digital art creations and wanted to create a piece dedicated to some of my favorite hues in a painterly strokes type-of-fashion. 

Colorful Lights in the Snow Imagery

I'm always drawn to abstract art, anything with a dreamy aesthetic, and a colorful background. I decided to blend those two together by blurring a bunch of bright lights in the background and decking it with snow imagery throughout the scene. 

Blue-Green Snowflakes and Sparkles Imagery

I decided to create a snowflakes design by combining a range of snowflakes, adding extra sparkles, diamond effects, and extra glow to a blue-green gradient background to jumpstart the holiday month. 

Blue-Green and Purple Glass: Waves + Swirls Effect

What happens when you mix your favorite colors up together into a gradient and play around with all the filters and distort everything? 

You get some fascinating effects. I was surprised by how this one turned out--it looks like an interesting mix of a swirly wave with sharp glass edges and clear, vivid textures all throughout. 

Magical Clouds in the Pastel Sky

Spotted some of the most awe-inspiring clouds while in the air and had to capture this aerial view right away. 

I decided to manipulate it a bit, adding in some extra sun flare, lightening up the image, and also incorporating a mix of pastel hues to the sky in the background. 

Painterly Swirl Effect: Pastel Colors in the World

I started playing around with different paint strokes in Photoshop, choosing soft pastel hues ranging from yellow, green and purple to pink and blue. Originally this was going to be an abstract piece but after changing up the effects, I decided to turn it into a swirl design. What's fascinating is how this looks like an actual painting, not created digitally.

Pink to Blue: Ethereal Moon and Stars Imagery

As always, I love Little Twin Stars and am obsessed with their pastel colors, gradient backgrounds, and celestial stars and moon artwork. I was inspired recently to create imagery around this. I made the moon the main focus point for this and sprinkled stars and sparkle effects throughout the background. 

In general, to keep images from looking too 2D or falling flat, I like to add in other effects to bring in some type of texture to the backgrounds, especially after adding in a gradient. For this piece, after adding in the pink to blue gradient in the background (with mixes of pastels and brights), I also used a couple special effects to include other types of patterns to it.

Dreamy Digital Art: Pastel Colors and Bubbles Effect

Pastel Bubbles Part II: I'm constantly inspired by all of the infinite creations out there.

All the delicate pastel colors, array of textures, and vivid imagery of how the world can look like.

This piece was inspired by the blend of digital art innovations that have been created throughout the past decade. I incorporated a range of effects, with blends of pastels, bubble designs, waves, and other texture effects to bring this image to life.

Pockets of Flowers: Multi-Colored Origami Effect

From far away, these look like origami paper. 

I originally was planning to create a collage of flowers or a floral background image, but decided to switch gears instead and create smaller versions of those flowers to develop pieces of "paper" that resemble flowered origami paper. 

I played around with the layers, then shapes, hues and contrast to get these sets of colors. Later, I added in other cool filters to create a soft, texture effect, so it feels more like actual "paper" rather than just a flat image.  

Rainbow Explosion of Fireworks Effect

Fireworks are always a fun way to celebrate something meaningful and life-changing - independence, freedom, and change. 

I decided to create a background with a bunch of fireworks, infusing it with a fusion of rainbow colors and a dark night sky to let all the powerful details pop out on its own. 

Color-blocked Pastel Watercolor Effects

I have a lifelong obsession with pretty colors, especially pastel palettes. I was inspired by a couple layouts in a magazine and wanted to create my own piece with a range of color-blocked pastels. I added in different colored blocks, a cool watercolor filter, and roughened the colors more with a darkened gradient background.

Glowing Gold Stars and Sparkle Gradient Imagery

I'm constantly getting inspired by cool magazine layouts and designs and decided to create a dark pink and purple gradient background piece filled with glowing gold stars all around (as seen from one of my favorite mags)! I added in some sparkle effects to really let the stars shine.

Stairway to Heaven: Blue-Green Gradient Imagery

Believe it or not, this is actually an art piece from a museum.

I saw this and immediately had to capture it before closing time. I loved that these stacked pieces of glass resemble a stair case and have blue-green gradient hues.

After looking at it for a while, I knew I had to do something with this photo and change up the background. Since it resembles stairs...why not make it a stairway...to heaven? That's where the picture perfect saturated blue sky and clouds photo come into play, adding that finishing touch.

Sweet Butterflies: Turquoise & Peach Fashion Imagery

Such a striking clip that shines and sparkles in different wavelengths with the light. I decided to use a turquoise bag as the background for a direct contrast. I love the magic of the colors and had to brighten and filter for an extra blue, pastel flair.
