Afterglow: Twilight Lights at Sydney Opera House

Pylon Lookout Part I: The color of Sydney Opera House continues to transform throughout the day from white to glowing yellow as the direction of the sun (or lack thereof) changes as the hours fly by.

One of my favorite captures is during twilight as the mostly cloudy sky absorbs some of the fading sunset colors and the lights begin to flicker into the evening.

The Great Wheel by the Pier Waters

The classic Great Wheel in Seattle sitting pretty by the pier.

Windy weather = clearing skies. With the clouds slowly breaking through, the sky looks so much like a painting with some wispy cloud strokes across it and faded blue colors in its surroundings.

The Magnificent Skytree: Towering Above the City

The tallest tower in the world is sitting pretty in Tokyo, Japan.

Besides offering elevating 360 degree views of the entire city and surrounding areas, there's also a ton of shopping and dining at the indoor mall!

Tower of Lights: Majestic Tokyo Tower at Night

I've always wanted to see this tower up close for so long and finally had the chance to see it at night. The lights were so brightly orange that the tower was radiating from miles away.

A close up shot really showed the intricate designs of it--just look at the very top and see how much thought was put into the designs to reflect the traditions and cultures of the country!

The City Contrast: Diverse Architecture and Design

The world is filled with contradictions. Cities are filled with contrasting architecture.

Case in point: this view right here in North Beach. The famous Columbus Tower and Transamerica pyramid are both unique in their own way and have very distinctive styles that set them apart from the rest. A contrast that offers a cool perspective for city locals and visitors alike.

Bright, Saturated Day at the Golden Gate Bridge

Picture perfect clear blue sky type of day! Wandered into a different side of the Presidio and saw this perspective and view of the Golden Gate Bridge so of course, this had to be captured (through the fence). Love the mix of the greenery and the scenic mountain backdrop of the North Bay.

Twilight Lights Glow in the Space Needle

Post-sunset times always have the best light. Loved how blue the sky was at this time! It's perfect with a bit of a darkness and the lights are slowly starting to shine from the Space Needle.

Grace Cathedral's Glorious Interior Architecture Design

The Grace Cathedral church in Nob Hill has the most heavenly interior design and architecture inside made of raw concrete and steel. Marvelous, colorful artwork and creations surround the cathedral offering inspirations everywhere. I captured this picture and gave it a positive spin with tweaks to the color. I adjusted the hue and saturation, and added in hints of purple and blue for a cool feel.

The Iconic Space Needle Shines Beneath the Clouds

A gray day in the city with drizzling rain, but even that cannot dampen the mood during my mid-afternoon walk. After strolling for half an hour, this one-of-a-kind tower appears and matches with the gray skies, creating the perfect seasonal photo.

Take a Look at Our Most Favorite Pyramid

This Transamerica pyramid in San Francisco is famous all over--this practically defines the skyline and just one look at this pyramid...and you've identified the city by the bay! This popular landmark has been taken by so many people and in so many different angles, neighborhoods, heights, and locations. I decided to approach the building and take a closeup view of it and was amazed by the spectacular details of it.
