Taking Over the World: The Glass Floor Effect

The enthralling details and glass designs at Harpa Concert Hall continue to inspire.

What if we convert the glass window panels into glass floor?

I manipulated this image by cloning and rearranging the glass panels to create transparent, angular floorings and an all over glass effect.

Modern Architecture: The Glass Stairs Effect

Stunning interior design and architecture can be found at the Harpa Concert Hall. The glass window panels give a modern, abstract, and futuristic twist to the scene.

I decided to manipulate the image by flipping it around and altering the position. All of the cool angles turn this into silver, shiny glass stairs (so why not just walk on it?)

Land of the Palm Trees and Skyscrapers in Honolulu

At the 18th floor of the hotel, we get a sweeping view of the skyscrapers in Waikiki, dramatic clouds in action, and the palm trees at the nearby park. It's been a blast watching the skies change every other minute - from rain to sunshine to rainbows and everything in between.

High Museum of Art: Interior Architecture & Reflections

The High Museum of Art may have a wide collection of historical paintings, but the interior and exterior design of the building is completely modern. The walkways present the right opportunity to capture the exquisite architecture from top to bottom. As the light continues to shift throughout the day, the reflections add an extra dramatic flair to the scene.

Let It Fall: Rain Vortex at Jewel Changi Airport

The world's largest indoor waterfall is free and it glows daily at night with a light show at the Jewel Changi airport. From colors ranging from yellow, orange, salmon, red to green, blue, and purple, it's truly a sight that cannot be missed.

Step into the Light: Mysterious Trees Ahead

Another walk into the unknown. All the trees surrounding me in this somewhat secluded park led me deep into the forest, the fogginess creating such a mysterious, fantastical feel. I decided to play around with the layers, creating a lighter effect and shifting various layers around to give a blurry, faded light effect.

One-Way Color Tunnel: When Light Strikes, Colors Explode

This stunning One-Way Color Tunnel, created with a mix of mirrors and glass panels by Olafur Eliasson's, glows in various shades of blue, pink, purple, green, orange and yellow shades depending on where you stand and your unique perspective.

The time of day and the amount of light streaming into this Oculus Bridge at San Francisco MOMA changes the color arrangement, making this art installation a transformative experience each time you step into it.

Strokes of Art: Abstract Imagery Comes to Life

Teamlab Continuity Part III: As the crows descend from each of the rooms and make their rounds across the floor, trails of light begin to follow. These bright, abstract, calligraphy-like strokes of light resemble splashes of art. The colorful red roses surrounding it gives that extra burst of color.

Downtown Cleveland's Historic Glass Skylight Atrium

The impressive Victorian-style atrium in The Arcade.

The beauty of this structure really shines through, from the architectural design of the building to the glass skylight in the atrium.

Magical Sunlight + Pastel Trees at Shakespeare Garden

The mid-afternoon sun created enchanting soft-hued streams of shadow effects at Shakespeare Garden, making for the perfect picture here! I love the lighting, the delicate tree shadows, and the flawless alignment of the flowers and trees in this intimate, serene garden.

I lightened the image a little more to add on to the dreamy, ethereal vibes, showcasing spring's charming energy.

Into the Wild: Sun Breaking through the Sky

Astonishing aerial views of the waters and mountains of Canada.

With the sun breaking through the sky, the stream of lights look particularly cool on the landscape, creating golden colors, shadows, and reflections.

I added in some warmer tones to this to create the effect of an incoming sunset, included a faded turquoise streak, a couple snow droplets, and some extra human aspect to it.

Faded to Pink: Magical Skyscrapers + Pastel Sunsets

I was in awe of how light, pink, and hazy the sky was and wanting to capture this view.

Behind all of the trees, you can see the hidden, faded skyscrapers and the pastel sunset hues from the sky.

Golden Pastels: Tree's Shadow Effects on the Walkway

Dreamy vibes of the bridge walkway at a neighborhood park, with clear, intricate tree shadows on the right.

I was amazed by how cool the tree shadows looked in this picture and decided to include golden pastel colors across this photo to change up the atmosphere of this.

I added soft yellow hues to the trees, hints of peach and salmon paint splotches on the pavement, and aqua and light purple shades on the tree shadows to enhance the colors even more.

The Sunlight Shines Through: Hints of Wonder Reimagined

Letting the light stream through all of the redwood trees~

I wanted to create a pastel imagery with streams of light and trees all mixed together. This original photo had pockets of sunlight shining through but I wanted to add more to the imagination. I also included a nice, subtle peachy salmon and aqua green gradient across the background to further enhance the dreamy quality.

Serenity and Sunlight at San Francisco's Ocean Beach

A simple view of the ocean that puts you at ease in an instant.

There was something with the fog, the clouds, the blue sky and the streaming sunlight (at a couple hours before sunset) mixed in together that really made this photo stand out to me. This is a simple capture but yet so special because of how these components blended in together, creating that classic beach scene.

Tropical Paradise: Shining, Dancing Colors on Leaves

Conservatory of Flowers Night Bloom Part IV: One of the coolest light exhibits ever...on plants!

Had to take a close up photo of these super cool green leaves. The sparkly colors shine so brightly on these, and it looks like a million magnificent lights from afar.

Hilton Hotel's Lights and Interior Decor Collage

So many different types of light fixtures with unique designs across every room at the Hilton Hotel. I loved the moody lighting of these rooms; they're not too bright yet not too dim. I combined a mix of my favorites and added some of my favorite views from the highest floor, the Cityscape Lounge.

United States Capitol Building's Remarkable Dome

One of those historical buildings you have to visit when you're at the United States capital. The inside was so captivating and a picture cannot do this dome justice. Intricate designs and details are etched into the interiors of this dome with fascinating histories and stories written all over the capitol.
