Lightning Waves Effect: Singapore Skyline Reflections

The vibrant colors and abstract creations in anime and video games always amazes me. I wanted to develop digital art that blends a mix of reality with fiction and the skyline views of Singapore was the ideal starting point.

After adjusting the colors with a blend of turquoise and salmon hues to give it a futuristic look and feel, I added in a mix of wavy lightning strikes in the sky to create the perfect finish.

Flows like Water: Pacifica's Beaches and Striking Waves

Such strong currents, creating a spectacular view where waves wash up to the shore, delivering an animated art show with its foam-like surface.

The waves have such distinct textures all around, looking very 3D in a 2D frame.

Soft Pastel Summer Vibes: Sandy Beaches and Waves

A tranquil scene in a chaotic world.

I love this view of the waves crashing into the shore in the later afternoon, where you see the sunlight directly reflecting on the water, creating these cool textures and effects, making it look 3D almost.

I wanted to give this a soft, pastel feel where it feels light and airy like summer and in the comforting light turquoise and pinkish beige hues, so I adjusted the colors a bit giving it a more warmer tone.

Soft Pastel Waves: The Gradient Effect

Going to the beach an hour or so before sunset is one of my favorite times to capture photos of the water, especially since you get so many different ranges of hues and textures from the direct reflections right off the sky.

I wanted to experiment more with this beach photo by adding a soft gradient touch to it--the result is a calming water pic with peach, pink and turquoise strokes of color and light.

Red Sunset and Turquoise Blue Hues at La Jolla Cove

La Jolla Cove Part III: The shore with crashing waves, rocks, beaches, and mountain views from afar. Sunset is always the best time to examine the altering hues of the sky.

I wanted to cast a nice red undertone onto this picture, making the sunset warmer with a brighter glow. The red hues also add a bluer effect on the ocean, creating a stronger and more striking effect.

Rainbow Vision: Soft Waves and Clouds in Lake Waters

After a rainy turned sunny day, I took a walk around the lake and captured this nice shot of the water. It was a normal peaceful image and I decided to enhance it a bit with extra saturation, a change in hue, contrast, and an extra rainbow edge in the waves. I also added in some painterly effects to give it a nice, smooth picturesque vibe, resembling a painting.

Soft Turquoise Waves By the Hidden Island

Soft, silky blue-green ocean waves steal the show during this 8-mile hike. An almost spotless blue sky, fresh ocean and crisp weather surround us on this journey.
