These camera-ready winter trees are in perfect alignment, making for a breathtakingly, symmetrical photo capturing the beauty of winter in the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden.

Pink Sunrises and Moon Views in Fairbanks

Bright, frosty, clear skies on a wintry day at sunrise.

It's one of those mornings where you walk outside and feel the blistery cold but breathe the pleasantly fresh air while soaking up the views.

Black and White: Snowy Trees in Fairbanks

Fairbanks Trees Part II: Continuing to watch the snow fall, decorating the trees.

It was one of those rare days where you only see a couple shades of colors outside...creating a pretty surreal winter scene.

Pastel Blur: Wintry Trees + Painting Effect

I took a simple photo of some wintry trees and wanted to alter the scene.

I wanted it to resemble something in between a painting and an image on a greetings card.

After manipulating a little water scene with the tree reflections, I played with the colors (lightening the whole look and feel with pastel vibes), blurred out the details, and then changed the texture to give it a painterly feel.

Magnetic Winter Scene: Enchanting Walkway Imagery

After taking a bunch of photos, we always focus on finding ways to make the pictures more vibrant, which often means enhancing the saturation and contrast.

For this photo of trees on a walkway, I wanted to give it a winter snow effect and do the opposite. The original pic was actually of green trees. Surprisingly, after lowering the saturation and giving it an almost black and white look (with hints of blue tones), the details of the trees actually end up popping out more. If anything, it's even more colorful now since the textures and hues actually stand out more than before.

White Christmas: Snowy Escape with the Trees

Fairbanks Trees Part I: I remember looking at this and thinking this came straight out of a black and white movie.

With the falling snow, black spruce trees, and the extremely remote location in Alaska, this looks like one of those perfect white Christmas scenes!

Winter Daylight: Soft Pastel Blue Trees Imagery

Magical winter scene with bare trees and no leaves.

I loved this view while on the road and decided to give it some extra special effects by blurring it out for a soft, mystical feel. Then I altered the background with light blue hues and mixes of pastel colors surrounding the trees for an added pop of delight, creating vibes that feel like it's straight out of a holiday card.

Awakened by the Sun: Pastel Winter Park Imagery

Winter doesn't need to be so dreary. On a rather bleak, grey day in Seattle, I stumbled upon this bridge that gave off so much serenity on a Thursday afternoon.

I liked the simplicity of this view but wanted to make it brighter and more hopeful. I decided to filter it with pastel vibes all over, lowering the saturation, drastically altering the hues, adding sun flare effects and blurring it to offer up an ethereal, dream-like feel.

Waking Up at Sunrise to Stunning Fairbanks

Super clear skies with bright yellow hues all around at sunrise.

I left the igloo for about a minute or two just to capture this before the color faded away.

Aerial View of Snow & Trees at Fairbanks

You know it is still winter when you peer outside and it looks like you're watching a classic movie in black and white. The landscape here is stunning and cannot be replicated or replaced with just a photo!

Deep Blue Skies at Dawn: The Magic of Fairbanks

Otherworldly magic. Nature is truly beautiful when you venture away from the city lights.

On a super clear, freezing day, we ventured outside and had to capture this view of the igloos at dawn, marveling at the stark beauty surrounding us.

Winter Trees and Colorful Sunsets in the Sky

That time of day when the sun magically sets behind these wintry trees. The colors of the sunset and the textures of the clouds complement each other so well, creating a classic imagery that perfectly captures the magnificence of the season.

Wintry Trees and Shadows In the Sunset Hour

Spring is finally approaching but remnants of winter can still be seen all around. It's not too terrible since they bring such a fresh, delicate beauty to the city. As the clouds cleared up and the sun began to set, I noticed the dark shadows of the trees and loved how it looked against the setting sun.

Dreamy Winter Trees and Pastel Pink Skies

One of those angelic wintry days at a hidden park in the city. Surrounded by rocks, water, wispy trees and a mostly cloudy sky, I decided to use this moment to capture the flowers and trees. I gave it a more delicate, pastel touch by blurring out the image and adding in some pink-peach hues and removing some of the saturation for a timeless look and feel.

Hyatt Regency's Cascading Lights and Eclipse Art Sculpture

Cascading Lights Part II: Cascading Lights dazzle around the atrium in the lobby of the Hyatt Regency hotel, making it for a magnificent, festive look all around. A gorgeous Eclipse art display and sculpture adds on to the sensational effect.

City Skyscrapers Covered in Snowflakes Imagery

In the middle of fall...but never too early to think of winter.

I decided to change this perfect blue sky day photo with a pink filter effect and add snowflakes to it. I was inspired by a Christmas card I received a while back and thought why not?

Dreamy California Palm Trees and Winter Sunsets

The glow from sunsets and palm trees is always a spectacular sight. Because sunsets add on to the beauty of palm trees, I decided to tweak the sky a bit by adjusting it with orange tones and increasing the contrast and color saturation, creating that relaxing sunset vibe to a picture-perfect palm tree day.

Sparkling Aqua and Coral Snowflakes Imagery

I was cleaning out my closet and was inspired by my aqua snowflake t-shirt--the color, the texture, the snowflake design--so I decided to create an image based off of that. Aqua and coral are one of the best color combos so I used that as the main gradient for this picture. I also added various snowflake designs and sizes in gray and white hues. Last but not least, I wanted to give it a sparkly effect and add extra emphasis and uniqueness to the snowflakes, so noise, shadows, and a mixture of textured colors are a must.

Classic Stroll with Hint of Surprise

While strolling northeast on an overcast day, I noticed this luminous building that offered such refreshing reflections of nearby buildings, trees, and more. I adored it so much that I took multiple pics in different angles. But what I did not notice (until I reviewed the photo later) was that there was also a reflection of the Space Needle! Such an unexpected surprise. I also decided to add a pale pink filter to the photo to liven up the fresh winter-spring vibe.

Blank Space Skyscraper Reflection

This building is spectacular--I saw it and knew I needed to capture it. I love how the building is so simplistic yet gives off a very city-chic vibe and perfectly complements the gray sky. The reflections on the building showcases brief snapshots of other architecture across the street and beyond.
