Aerial View of Orange-Blue Twilight Skies
Darkness almost approaching after the sunset. I peered outside the window and saw these wispy clouds and orange-blue hues spread across the sky, sitting high above the bright lights. I had to capture this peaceful, glorious moment before it faded.

Sparkly Holiday Ribbons and Bows Imagery
Nothing like dazzling, shimmering ribbons and bows in festive colors to brighten up your day. I decided to do another round of holiday photography for bows and took a pic of all of them aligned neatly in a box.
Combining all the bows together in a box really shows off its magnificence. Individually, you may not notice a bow's true quality and elegance, but when they are so closely combined, you notice the beautiful array of colors, designs, and intricate details. The colors reflect each other in a whole new light. Taking these pics with the lights on give it an extra yellow glow.

Couldn't resist taking this adorable photo of polar bear stuffed animals climbing up a lit Christmas tree. The faux snow on the bottom added to the scenery and made it a perfect festivity.

City Skyscrapers Covered in Snowflakes Imagery
In the middle of fall...but never too early to think of winter.
I decided to change this perfect blue sky day photo with a pink filter effect and add snowflakes to it. I was inspired by a Christmas card I received a while back and thought why not?

Bright, Saturated Day at the Golden Gate Bridge
Picture perfect clear blue sky type of day! Wandered into a different side of the Presidio and saw this perspective and view of the Golden Gate Bridge so of course, this had to be captured (through the fence). Love the mix of the greenery and the scenic mountain backdrop of the North Bay.

The Breathtakingly Refreshing Lan Su Chinese Garden
The Lan Su Chinese Garden may be a small, hidden spot in Chinatown but the beauty of the space is astonishingly beautiful. This picture was taken early summer, but the colors of the trees offer a mixture of a fresh spring and a rustic autumn vibe.

Radiating Light and Sunset Colored Clouds Imagery
We all need a little extra light in our lives.
While flying for a couple hours, I watched the sunny afternoon sky slowly transition into sunset and then darkness as we jumped through different time zones.
When I looked outside the plane, I noticed the clear, yellow-orange sunset and soft clouds across the sky and had to capture it immediately. It resembled the colors and natural aspects of the anime Your Name. Your Name has some of the best visual imagery of clouds and streams of radiating lights and I was inspired to use those same colorful effects here. While creating this image, I used the sunset photo as the backdrop and added in various layers to show streams of light (inspired by Perfume's Tokyo Girl MV), sunlight, clouds, sparkles and other reflections. I also added in some human aspects to this by having multiple versions of myself stepping on clouds and creating sharp reflections on the clouds.

The Canvas of Clouds Spread Across the Sky
Looked outside the window and saw these spectacular altocumulus clouds aligning so perfectly with each other a couple of hours before sunset. The stream of yellow lighting also added texture and various hues to the clouds. It's always a treat when you get such awe-inspiring aerial views of the sky from above!

The Majestic Eiffel Tower at the Paris Hotel
Not the real Eiffel Tower in Paris, France but still worthy of admiration and a picture in Las Vegas! After a nice stroll around the crowded streets at the strip, I decided to capture this golden structure and all its glory. A quick subtle pink filter gives it a nice, soft pastel vibe.

Night Light Streams of Reflections at Cuyahoga River
Sunlight becomes sunset. Sunset becomes twilight. Twilight becomes dusk and as we got closer to pure darkness, I had to capture this gorgeous view of Cleveland Memorial Shoreway in Cleveland. The lights glimmered so magnificently and the clear skies made the reflections even more vibrant. So many different colored lights adorned this bridge making it one of the coolest bridge photos.

Victorian-Style Atrium at the Cleveland Arcade
A famous structure in downtown Cleveland featuring the Hyatt Regency hotel along with numerous shops and spectacular views throughout, including the glass skylight design of the atrium. I decided to lighten the photo a bit more and enhance the saturation and contrast. The result? It brought out some unexpected pastel, rainbow gradient hues and extra details of the structure that would have otherwise been missed!

Treasure Island's Sparkling Skyscraper View of the City
Treasure Island can seem so far and removed from the city--and yet so close and within reach! It always offers the best views of the San Francisco skyline and this day was no different. Unfiltered Life: Orange Sunset Glows by the Still Waters
The sky finally cleared up and I captured this photo of the sunset by the bay. The original photo was a lighter icier pastel shade of blue and yellow, but I wanted to give it a more tropical summer feel so I added yellow-green plus orange tones and extra contrast to give it an extra boost.

Reduced Saturation and Reversed Hues Water Effect
I decided to test drive it with this image of Mission Bay and the building water reflections. I reduced the saturation, contrast, and brightness, then changed up the hues so there's a bit of pink and aqua magic (my favorites) in the water. To my amazement, the picture may be darker but more of the details and surprising hints of colors in the background end up popping out more, offering a catchy glowy effect.

Triangle Pyramid Architecture, Design, and Infrastructure
While walking around the city waterfront, we spotted this World Trade Center and had to get closer for a picture! The building had some of the most spectacular glass art and designs. What especially caught our eye was this sky bridge which had glass panel walls and columns with a triangle-shaped theme. The mid-afternoon sunlight added on to this bridge and provided some awe-inspiring reflections.

The Historical Sutro Baths at Land's End
Reading up on the history of the famous Sutro Baths is always a delight. Did you know it used to be a swimming pool? Today, it's a well-known, historical landmark in San Francisco right by Ocean Beach, surrounded by the Cliff House (which used to resemble a mansion), and the lovely Land's End mountain, rocks, and trails. On a perfectly crystal-clear day, I captured a view of this epic scenery from above.

City of Palm Trees: Famous Los Angeles Sunset
Everywhere you go around Los Angeles county...you're pretty much surrounded by palm trees. It makes for a fantastic, scenic drive despite all the traffic. Up above in a cozy room near downtown, I see this gorgeous view of palm trees in the distance during sunset and had to capture this classic beauty. I added some sun flare, enhanced the saturation with pinkish orange hues, and blurred it out for a vintage-y, summery mix.

The Secret Garden: Exquisite Colors and Imagery
The animated drama 5 Centimeters per Second has some of the best and most creative artwork ever. Every time I create something, I look back at that anime's design for inspiration. The use of colors and visual imagery continues to evoke new ideas in my work and I particularly love how they depict reality with such a dreamy quality.
While editing this photo of a small bridge at a park, I decided to change up the hues and saturation with a range of pastel blue, purple, and pink colors for a smooth, delicate look and feel. A little bit of blur adds on to the etherealness of it and provides a mix of serenity and illusory to reality.

Walked around a spacious, mysterious park filled with all sorts of natural wonders. After a half hour, I stumbled upon gorgeous palm tree goodness and had to get a closeup of this one. These are naturally green colored leaves, but I decided to change up the hues to give it a tropical vibe by adding aqua and pink colors.

After seeing some breathtaking clouds while flying through the California skies, I decided to create an image of me walking on air, stepping on clouds, and taking in the scenery. Striking Aurora Lights and Dazzling Stars Imagery
I'm always in awe of breathtaking, magnificent landscape scenery. Unfortunately, it's more of an uncommon scenario where you have to be there at the right place at the right time...and most likely, it comes unexpectedly. I decided to create my own version of aurora lights and sparkling stars imagery by altering a simple photo of a mountain completely. I added stars to the background. changed the hues, contrast, and saturation of the orange-green sky, and created slight reflections and gradient to the ocean.
