That perfect escape. Wandering around the edges of Land's End exploring the hidden unknowns, a labyrinth, long, scenic trails, and epic views of the famous Golden Gate Bridge! 

Winter Meets Spring: Pink Cherry Blossoms in the City

Spring is almost here. An hour before the sprinkles and rain came, I walked outside and caught sight of these blooming sakura flowers. Still really small, but the beauty and color were widely visible. The eccentric, modern building in the background made for a stunning backdrop against these cherry blossoms!

Tidal Basin Part III: A cluster of cherry blossoms surround the popular Tidal Basin in Washington DC. We were in awe of the mix of pale white to deep pink flowers that surrounded the basin on our mile-plus long walk. It was a calming venture from daylight to twilight, all the way until dusk. 

In Your Eyes: Colorful, Bright Ferris Wheel

One of the coolest, most colorful ferris wheels ever. The lights shined so brightly and altered into all these other unique color combos throughout the night! 

It's fascinating sitting inside of one and watching the hues change right in front of your eyes in this particular angle.

Pink to Blue: Ethereal Moon and Stars Imagery

As always, I love Little Twin Stars and am obsessed with their pastel colors, gradient backgrounds, and celestial stars and moon artwork. I was inspired recently to create imagery around this. I made the moon the main focus point for this and sprinkled stars and sparkle effects throughout the background. 

In general, to keep images from looking too 2D or falling flat, I like to add in other effects to bring in some type of texture to the backgrounds, especially after adding in a gradient. For this piece, after adding in the pink to blue gradient in the background (with mixes of pastels and brights), I also used a couple special effects to include other types of patterns to it.
