The Walled City: Blue & Yellow Contrast in Obidos

Two-thirds of the primary colors take over the scene at Obidos.

Blue and yellow color-blocked stripes adorn these whitewashed buildings, creating a look that is simple and historic, and also sleek and modern at the same time.

Dragons and Yellow Lanterns at Yokohama Chinatown

Yokohama Chinatown Part II: One of the most stylish Chinatowns I've ever seen. Almost every corner there is a pagoda gate with colorful displays from restaurants and shops surrounding the neighborhood.

These long, yellow lanterns and the dragon-like shape caught my attention and stole the show!

All the Colors: Saturated Autumn Foliage in the Garden

Japanese Garden in Manito Park Part I: First time seeing such vibrant fall foliage at a Japanese Garden! I was in awe of the colors (a mix of all the warm autumn tones), the surreal beauty, and the calmness in this garden.

Magical Display of Fireflies at Night Imagery

I always love the dramatic, magical beauty of fireflies and the cold lights that emit from them.

I decided to create a closeup image with swarms of fireflies and their bright yellow light outside by the trees.

This original picture was taken during the day time next to a colorful lake. After changing the hues, darkening the tones, and adding in firefly art, this ended up being the final result.

Yellow Shades of Fall: Extraordinary Autumn Tree

Literally one of the yellowest and most symmetrical tree I've ever seen!

Stumbled upon this one tree at a quiet neighborhood filled with tons and tons of yellow, orange and red trees all around!

The Magic Hour at San Francisco's Bay Bridge

A shocking yet tranquil yellow-orange sunset by the Bay Bridge. I loved the soft glow of this and the effects the color of the sky has on the bridge and the water. I decided to add a couple blur circle designs to elevate the magical feel of the photo.

Suite Dreams: Blue-Green Lights & New York Skyscrapers

It's always so much fun altering a series of images, tweaking the colors, saturation, hue, and everything in between. For this image of the lower Manhattan skyline, I wanted to give it a dramatic look and feel, with a slight twilight vibe but filtered with more hints of blue-green and yellow colors. Something that is dream-like, yet still strongly saturated. Something that has an eccentric personality and reflects the true spirit and energy of New York.

Unfiltered Life: Orange Sunset Glows by the Still Waters

The sky finally cleared up and I captured this photo of the sunset by the bay. The original photo was a lighter icier pastel shade of blue and yellow, but I wanted to give it a more tropical summer feel so I added yellow-green plus orange tones and extra contrast to give it an extra boost.

Magic Wonders of the Garden: Salmon-Yellow Colored Rose

Time to stop and smell the roses.

So many bright flowers in the Pacific Heights neighborhood, making this hilly hike a refreshing walk in nature. This one in particular caught my eye; I love the mix of yellow, orange, and salmon colors on this and had to capture a closeup pic.

Let It Glow Imagery: Fireflies' Glorious Lights

Fireflies Imagery Part I: Fireflies are so transcendent and a rare sight!

I've never seen them in person, but recently saw some surreal firefly images and was so inspired by its beauty and eccentricity that I decided to create my own. This was originally a photo from a botanical garden but after enhancing the contrast, sharpening, darkening, and adding other effects to the image, I included the glowing yellow fireflies and its emitting lights in the surrounding area to create this imagery. These artsy firefly lights resemble bright sunflowers in the distance.
